Research Themes
I experimentally investigate ways to enhance light-matter interactions at the nanoscale. In particular, my group develops DNA templated fabrication techniques to produce plasmonic antennas with controlled chemical environments and novel nanoscale resonators based on high-index materials such as silicon. Optical antennas are used for applications ranging from quantum optics (to optimize single photon sources) to sensing (Raman scattering or plasmon rulers).
