Biomedical imaging with coherent light

Our research is focused on the development of coherent optical detection techniques with visible and near infrared light for biomedical imaging applications.

Interferometric approaches are investigated to achieve highly sensitive radiofrequency-selective and tunable parallel heterodyne detection of light fluctuations with array detectors. Instruments are designed in close partnership with biomedical communities to provide new structural and functional imaging modalities targeted at in-vivo studies.

The proposed techniques are aimed at designing non-ionizing and non-invasive screening tools to map tissue structures and dynamics at several spatial scales, from sub-cellular to organ levels, for the diagnosis of a variety of pathologies.
